Local Folklore and Residents

The Spider Proprietor The owner of the Monster Cafe, and lives below it. Very little is known about them, including their name, if any.

'Tar' Aster A half-bull, half-human hybrid. Quiet, but not mute. The sole employee of the Monster Cafe. Lives with his father in the old observatory

'Minnow' Aster Tar's father, and a former stud bull. Works as a handyman. Lives with his son in the old observatory.

Evangeline Baker A human who stumbled upon the Monster Cafe while on one of her jogging runs. She has since struck up a friendship with the Spider, which makes the older residents of the town nervous.

'Tory' Aves A young harpy, and one of Tar's friends. Energetic and inquistive, she works for the local school's--and by extension town's--newspaper.

Tao Liang A young taotie, and one of Tar's friends. Has delusions of grandeur but mostly just has bad haircuts. (As much as a reptile masquerading as a mammal can, anyway!)

'Gobby' Alderking A young goblin, and one of Tar's friends. Suffers from kleptomania, probably as a result of her large household.

Diamonds B. Slick An incubus influencer. The other residents don't really understand anything he does.
